Starting With the Big One: Geelong FC ("The Puss") at Kardinia Park

Since: 1964

To Be Blunt:

The scores have been corruptly wrong against St Kilda FC by a minimum of 30 points (usually 30 points) versus Geelong FC at Kardinia Park every game The Saints have played there since 1964.

Motive:

They've been attempting to force people to suspect St Kilda FC was involved in attempting to assassinate JFK in Dallas, November 1963.

Connection?:

ST.K compared to JFK? No actual logical reasons, it is that weak.

Conclusion:

St Kilda FC had nothing to do with it (the assassination attempt). They still pretend we have to look suspicious, and others have to go "mmmmm, maybe St Kilda FC had something to do with that" every year we play there and the scores are corruptly incorrect.

Reality of the Situation:

St Kilda FC has won more games against Geelong FC at Kardinia Park than they have against St Kilda FC. Even allowing for the fact that St Kilda FC lost 15 of its first 19 at the Venue.

Corrected Record as of April 2024:

St Kilda 36 - Geelong 27 (as accurate as it can be).

Facts of the Corruption:

Geelong FC did not make the Finals in 1964, 1966, 1968, or 1978.

In 1964:

Hawthorn should have made the Finals in 4th, Geelong missed in 5th, St Kilda FC 6th. The Saints were not involved in the fixed result of the Geelong v Saints game in 1964 in an attempt to cause Hawthorn to appear to miss the finals.

In 1966:

It ultimately made no difference, they finished 5th and St Kilda FC qualified 2nd. The one fixed match against St Kilda FC took them up to 4th, with St Kilda FC still 2nd. Richmond should have played Essendon in the 1966 1st Semi-Final, and would have lost the game anyway. Essendon ended up defeating Geelong instead, who didn't really qualify.

In 1968:

All matches in Week 1 of the Finals were incorrect Match-Ups:

The one fixed match against St Kilda FC (for no reason) caused Geelong to pretend to make the finals in 3rd, instead of missing the Finals in 5th.

St Kilda FC qualified 2nd and should have played Essendon in the 2nd Semi Final for a spot in the Grand Final or Preliminary Final.

Instead, the 1 fixed match at Kardinia Park dropped St Kilda to 4th (from 2nd), Geelong up to 3rd (from missing Finals in 5th), and Carlton up to 2nd (instead of 3rd). Richmond should have qualified 4th (but ended up in 5th).

Correct:

1st Semi: Carlton v Richmond

2nd Semi: Essendon v St Kilda

Instead:

1st Semi: Geelong V St Kilda

2nd Semi: Essendon v Carlton

St Kilda FC should have had to win one more game to play in the Grand Final after the Home and Away Season finished.

Instead, St Kilda FC played Geelong in the 1st Semi Final. Geelong FC ran around saying any statement they could think of that admitted to illegally fixing every game against St Kilda FC at Kardinia Park since 1964, including the effect it had on the Finals games when Geelong didn't really qualify but played (1964, 1966, 1968). Essendon's name was incessantly chanted.

Geelong pretended to knock St Kilda FC out of the Finals in the 1st Semi Final. Carlton should have played Richmond in the 1st Semi Final, instead they played Essendon in the 2nd Semi, won it, got a week off, and won the Grand Final as the result of the 1968 Finals Series. From needing to win 3 in a row to win, bye, win, premiership. Disgusting.

St Kilda played Essendon twice during the season. The game at Windy Hill was a draw, and St Kilda won comfortably at Moorabbin by 56 points.

After Geelong pretended to knock St Kilda FC out, they assumed they would have done the same in 1966 if they had won their incorrect 1st Semi Final and played St Kilda in the Preliminary Final. So, Geelong started complaining that St Kilda wouldn't have won its first Premiership if things had been different in Geelong's 1st Semi loss. Pretended to blame themselves and then take it out on St Kilda FC. Even though Geelong didn't make the Finals, really.

St Kilda FC won every Final in 1966, but appeared to only win via the Preliminary Final, in the end.

So if the scores had been correct in 1966 at Kardinia Park, and Geelong had won the 1st Semi Final, Collingwood should have falsely played Geelong in the Preliminary Final.

Geelong FC has been like a lunatic asylum St Kilda FC was forced to visit since 1964.

Carlton got a "free ride" on Geelong's corruption to a fake 2nd SF win and won the GF v Essendon. It was disgusting.

In 1978:

St Kilda made some exciting recruiting decisions during the off season, and were like a breath of badly needed fresh air in the league for first third of the Home & Away season. St Kilda went 5, 1, & 1 for the first 7 rounds, and was sitting second, with a speedy squad with a nice mix of young and established players.

So the "lucifer syndrome sufferers" of the league since 1973 got their fake wand out, Marvin the Martian "I'm going to blow St Kilda up, it obstructs my view of stupidity...." style, and the next 7 weeks were horrific, with the team appearing to slow down markedly to a pedestrian pace for the mid-season block.

The Saints lost to the bottom team, and had 3 losses of 99 points or more to three others, in a run of 6 bizarre looking losses in a row. The Saints were even accused of "providing training practice" for the opposition team in the run of faux losses.

The Lucifer syndrome team(s) then "let the Saints play" for the away game against top 2 North. The Saints won by 3 points.

A loss to Richmond was followed by, you guessed it, a game at Kardinia Park, Geelong.

The scores were wrong by 30 points, and Geelong pretended to win by 12. Then claimed it was "exacting revenge" on St Kilda for defeating Geelong on ANZAC Day Tuesday earlier in the season at Waverley Park by 33 points (approximately). Geelong didn't score in the 3rd Quarter whilst the Saints scored 7 goals 9, Then the Saints didn't score in the Final Quarter, where Geelong score 3 goals 1. Over 43 thousand attended.

The Saints then won 5 out of the last 6 by an average of around 8 goals, including against 3 eventual "top 5 teams" on the standings.

The win over Carlton in the Final Round meant The Saints qualified for the Finals anyway, and should have played the Blues again in the Elimination Final.

But the 1 incorrect result in Geelong meant, you guessed it, Geelong pretended to make the finals in 5th instead. The Saints incorrectly missed out in 6th.

To make matters worse, Carlton defeated Geelong in the Elimination Final, getting a "free ride" on the Geelong's 1 fixed match against St Kilda again, this time to the 1st Semi Final. Eyes slightly rolled back and bulging is their look....
